Frequently Asked Questions
Commonly
asked questions before roof start
Will my attic get dirty?
If a cedar tear off with spaced sheeting you need to cover
attic items or insulation anywhere you want it to stay clean.
What about the old roof being wet when its roofed over?
Our roofs are rain proof but they do “breath” & dry
out after being roofed over wet. A roof picks up heat from solar
& the house. Many thousands of roofs have been re-roofed wet with
no problems. We do need a few minutes of no rain for the small number
of sealants that may be necessary.
Will the delivery truck be breaking my driveway?
Please let us know if you suspect that your driveway is
weak. We can request that your order be placed last on the delivery
schedule to reduce the weight or with an extremely weak driveway avoid
it if possible.
Our tear off hauler is one advantage over others because
it limits the weight by its size.
Will there be nails in the yard of grass?
We greatly minimize this by removing the roofing from
to roof directly too the hauler when ever possible, which is most of the
time.
Always some nails pop out so we use brooms & a magnet
tool to pick up any stray nails. There hard to see so feel free to look
it over yourself before driving or mowing.
What do we need from the
customer?
Not a lot.
A clear driveway on day of roofing delivery & roof
work.
We will call prior to roof delivery & start.
A 3 pronged electrical outlet. Preferably a 20 amp circuit.
Smart dogs in a fenced yard is fine and enjoyable.
